On September 20 through the 24, we held revival meetings at Evergreen Bible Church in Evergreen, Colorado.  This church plant is snuggled in the beautiful mountains west of Denver, Colorado.  The sounds of the wilderness were very evident during this week of meetings.  All week long we have heard elk bugling near our trailer and around the church.

The church family was very faithful to our meetings this week.  We saw several make life- changing decisions each evening during this week.  There were five that came forward on Tuesday, then each evening others talked to us after the services.  Tuesday night we invited the community to stop and have a free hot dog on the side of the road and join us for the services.  And on Wednesday night, we invited the community again to stop and have a barbeque sandwich before the service.  As a result, we had one man and a couple join us for the seven o’clock service.  Please pray for pastor’s health and this growing church in the mountains of Colorado.

On Friday, September 11, we left from Portland, Oregon, so that we could travel back to Washington State for a youth work day in Chewelah, Washington.  The youth moved water lines and fire wood for a lady in the community.  I shared a Bible study on eternal security and how you can defend what the Bible teaches about eternal life.  On Sunday, I spoke for each of the morning services and presented our ministry on Sunday night. 

Pastor Dan Cleghorn and I attended Faith Baptist Bible College together; when I was a freshman, he was a sophomore.  It is a great encouragement to hear of his faithfulness to the Lord and to the foundations of God’s Word. 

Because we had a week open for travel to Portland Oregon from Montana, we were able to spend two days in Glacier National Park.  As a family we hiked from Logan Pass to the Loop, a 12 mile high mountain trail.  It was a long, but very beautiful walk through God’s creation.  On Thursday, we left Whitefish, Montana and drove the 620 miles to Portland, Oregon. 

We arrived just in time to attend the cottage prayer meeting on Friday night.  We started our meetings on Sunday morning with an all family Sunday school and Morning Worship Service.  The meetings were well attended and we had visitors each evening through Thursday.  We enjoyed the fellowship with these dear saints in area restaurants and in people’s homes.  I was even able to go and enjoy some salmon fishing on the river on Wednesday.  Please pray for this growing church as they are looking for someone that could start a bus ministry to bring in more children for the services.
