Faith Baptist Church

June 25 – 28, 2017, we held a week of revival meetings at Faith Baptist Church in Muskegon, Michigan.  We started on Sunday morning with a whole family Sunday School featuring “Friends Day”.  The church invited friends to come and join them for Sunday, June 25 with a special day of ventriloquism, object lessons, a gospel message for the morning service and a chicken dinner in the fellowship hall.   Right after the chicken dinner, we all returned up-stairs for the evening message from I Thessalonians 4: 13-18 – a clear reminder that Christ’s promises are a comfort to the saved, but a warning to the lost.  Monday through Wednesday, the church family faithfully invited friends to come for the evening meetings and we had a good turn out each day.  We rejoice in those who responded to the invitations seeking God’s strength to better reach the lost we meet every day.

It was good to see Pastor Swieringa and his family again and spend time with the church family that we have grown in love and enjoy over the last 20 years.  Pastor Swieringa and I have known each other since college days at Faith Baptist Bible College.  The church has faithfully supported the ministry of Come International Baptist Ministries through financial support and meeting the needs of our board.  After our meetings, we traveled south to see our son Caleb for a few hours in Pierceton, Indiana before heading for southern Minnesota.

On November 20th we left Duluth, Minnesota and headed south for Manitowoc, Wisconsin.  It was our privilege to hold a three day meeting at the Berean Baptist Church with Pastor William Lobb.  On Sunday after the morning service, we all stayed together and had a traditional Thanksgiving feast.   For the evening service, I preached my next message in the series, “Knowing and Living God’s Will.”

For the two meetings during the week on Monday and Tuesday, we saw members faithfully attend the meetings and invite people from the community.  On Monday night we had visitors come and take part in the service and enjoy the fellowship with the church family.  Please continue to pray for this growing church off the coast of Lake Michigan.
