June 17 – 21, 2007 we held our third Vacation Bible School in Indianapolis, Indiana at the Grace Baptist Church with Pastor Raymond Ford. The church is in the fountain square area with no parking available that was large enough for our 40 foot trailer. So we parked our trailer at the home of George Zinn, one of the church members and also an evangelist under Committee On Missionary Evangelism.

We visited with several families in the church for meals and also enjoyed the Indianapolis Zoo.

During Vacation Bible School we had many visitors and several parents. Praise the Lord six young people trusted Christ as Savior. Two more came forward for assurance giving us a count of 8 precious lives that have been changed for eternity.

During Vacation Bible School each class worked to learn their verses and to bring visitors. At the end of the week Randy’s building crew, the Primary Class, went home with the final prize. Please pray for this faithful inner-city church as they strive to reach their community for Christ.

On June 10 – 15, 2007 at Bethel Baptist Church in Pierceton, Indiana, we held our second Vacation Bible School for this summer. We had many first time visitors.

Pastor Jim Baughman is Jane’s brother. Caleb had a fun week playing with his cousins. Jane’s youngest brother Jerry lives near Cleveland Ohio which is about 5 hours from Pierceton. So Jerry’s wife and their children also came to Indiana to take part in our Vacation Bible School.

June 3 – 8, 2007 we held our first full week of Vacation Bible School in Dayton, Tennessee. We had 48 children for a high on Wednesday night.

One young man trusted Christ as his Savior and Rawley’s building crew had the most bricks at the end of the week. They got to make an ice cream sundae for the first place prize.

In the picture, Jane is teaching the memory verse James 4:8 “Draw nigh unto God, and he will draw nigh unto you”. We teach the verses using several tools for learning: singing the verse, saying the verse, and putting motions to the verse. Please pray that the children will not only know the verses, but will hid the verses in their hearts as well.

Our first Vacation Bible School this summer was on June 2, 2007. This country church just 8 miles north of Dayton, Tennessee wanted us to come for just a one day VBS. I spoke once at 10:00 and again at 2:00 in the afternoon. They had a great group of young people from the church, as well as, a few visitors.

One of the young boys came up to me asking me to share the gospel with him. He had lots of questions about how he could know for sure that he was saved from his sin. He explained to me what he knew (he was a sinner; God loved him and sent Jesus to be his Savior; Jesus died for his sins.) I shared with him that all he needed to do was have faith and believe. I rejoice in the fact that he asked Jesus to forgive him of his sin and trust Christ as his Savior. Please pray that he will begin to grow in his newfound faith and attend church faithfully.
