Our meetings in Hawthorne, Nevada were on hold because our refrigerator stopped working in Evergreen, Colorado. We needed to replace the cooling unit in our refrigerator. This unique part that works with both electricity and propane had a repair price of $2,500.00 dollars. Praise the Lord the church in Evergreen stepped in and helped us cover the cost of this repair.

The repair shop thought they could have the part, have it installed and working by Friday just before we needed to leave for Nevada. But the part did not arrive at the RV service shop on Friday and we had to wait until Monday for the part. This miscommunication delayed our arrival to Hawthorne, Nevada until Wednesday, January 23, 2008.

Pastor and the church family were so gracious and understood our situation. So we started our meetings on Wednesday and ending our meetings on Sunday, January 27, 2008. God knew about this change of schedule and left that Sunday opened so that we could close our meetings on that Sunday evening.

Our meetings in Hawthorne were well attended and very encouraging to us as I preached the truth of God’s Word. We strengthened our friendship with the pastor and the church family with Godly preaching and warm fellowship. We are looking forward in seeing them again in June of 2009 for a Daily Vacation Bible School.

On January 13 – 16, 2008 we started a week of meetings at the Evergreen Bible Church in Evergreen Colorado. On Sunday morning one individual responded for assurance of salvation and one eight year old boy trusted Christ as his Savior. Through the week we saw the Holy Spirit working in hearts to make a bigger effort on reaching the lost in the community. On Wednesday night we saw one child respond for assurance of salvation and one teen trust Christ as their Savior. The Holy Spirit revealed himself that night with many teens confessing their sins and praying with adults and their teen friends. God used us to challenge the teens and the adults in Evergreen, Colorado.

We left the church with mixed emotions as we know of some that still need to trust Christ as their Savior. Please pray for Pastor David and his wife as they continue to lead this new church in the mountains of Colorado.

From January 6th through the 9th, we held meetings at the Faith Baptist Church in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The meetings were well attended and we had many first time visitors. My sister lives in town and came to our meetings on Sunday and Monday night. It was great to see her again and my two nieces Shari and Reagan.

Wednesday at 10:30 the home school network gathered at the church and I was able to share a gospel message with them complete with ventriloquism object lessons. Two of the families came back for the closing service of our meetings.

Pastor Stange and Margaret have been wonderful friends for many years. Last year Margaret had a stroke that see has been working hard to recover from. She was able to occasionally play the piano for the meetings. She also played the marimba. Please pray for her full recovery and the continued growth of Faith Baptist Church of Cheyenne, Wyoming.

The church in Baker, Montana has prayed for us, as well as, supported our ministry faithfully for the last 17 years. We thank them so much for their faithful support of our ministry and how they have continued to share the gospel in their small town. We left Saturday, December 29th from Rapid City and stayed all night in Baker so that we could update the church on our ministry.

We saw many of our faithful friends and had the privilege to meet their new pastor. It was a blessing to hear his love for Montana and for the people in his church. As a result of our meetings we were able to schedule a Daily Vacation Bible School with them in June 2009.

We praise the Lord that we were able to replace the shackles on our trailer at the end of December. This welding job cost us 400 dollars more then what was originally planned. Please pray that this extra expense will soon be met.
