Work has begun at Camp Tishomingo: the maintenance building and Chapel are up after much prayer and lots of work. Because the land is not ready for camp, this year the camp will be held in Casa Grande, Arizona. Please pray for much needed funds for the camp and for extra people to be able to come and help on this huge project in the mission field of Arizona.

We just finished our Vacation Bible School in Prescott Valley, Arizona. This week’s theme was “On Track For Christ” and was filled with lots of fun centered around the railroad. Points were represented by train cars and train engines. Each car was worth 1,000 points and each locomotive, 10,000 points. The children also enjoyed the last day when we had hot dogs, chips, and cookies. Afterwards because of the high attendance, Pastor got a cream pie thrown in his face. (Caleb’s name was pulled to have the honor of throwing the pie and he really enjoyed it.)

We rejoice that we had six children that trusted in Christ as their personal Savior. Please pray that these children will be faithful in church and that they will begin to grow in their walk with the Lord.

During the last week of May, we traveled from Kansas to the state of Arizona. We had a great trip and arrived safely in Gilbert, Arizona on Friday, May 30th. We started our summer ministry with a one day meeting at the South East Valley Baptist Church. On Sunday night they had a special youth meeting for the whole church. Please pray that the children that raised their hands for salvation will soon respond to the gospel.

This church in the sun valley of Arizona is one of our supporting churches. It was a joy to be able to see our friends again and meet some new families in the church. We thank this church for their years of support, as well as all the other churches just like this one that faithfully support us all across America.

Our last meeting in Kansas was in Douglass at the Cumberland Bible Church. Pastor Murray and I were able to take some time off and enjoy shooting our bows together in his front yard. On Saturday Jane and Caleb spent some time in two different homes fellowshipping with some of the families in the church. I was left at home in the trailer because of a bad fever and flu symptoms.

On Sunday morning I felt very weak and light-headed, but I was able to speak for an all church Sunday school and morning service. After a light lunch with the church family, I was able to receive some well-needed strength that made it possible to finish the day with a 2:00 p.m. service.

It was a blessing to speak at this fine church in the country side of Kansas. Please pray that this church will continue to grow and reach this area for the Savior.
