Before leaving the state of Iowa, I stopped in Cumberland, Iowa with Pastor Michael Martin to see if I could harvest a whitetail deer.  With Jane’s allergies she has found that she can have deer meat, as long as, we do not add lots of spices.  With God’s help, I was able to harvest a three point buck by 4:30 p.m. on my first day out with my bow.  Thursday, we processed the meat and on Friday we left for Heritage Baptist Church in Moberly, Missouri.

On November 16, I spoke for an all-church Sunday school with Rodney and object lessons.  Then I preached on Sunday morning.  In the evening I presented our ministry and preached a message on the Four Spiritual Laws.  Please pray for Pastor Micah Panjada and his young family as they seek to reach this community with the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

convo.jpgWe rejoice in the opportunity that we had to be able to present our ministry in a new church just getting started in Ankeny, Iowa.  On November 9, I was able to encourage this new church with a story from Rodney and encourage these saints with the importance of the ministry of the evangelist.  Please pray for this new church as they search for land to build their new building.  Community Baptist Church is meeting in a school building on the northeast side of Ankeny, Iowa.  Pastor Schimdt is also the Dean of Faith Baptist Theological Seminary.

Then on November 11, I was able to speak in Ankeny, Iowa at Faith Baptist Bible College and Theological Seminary.  I presented the need for more evangelists in the United States.  Please pray for these students as they study for the ministry and finish up this semester at the end of December.

We held a week of revival meetings in Cannon Falls, Minnesota from November 2 – 7, 2008.  The pastor used a voting theme since the meetings were held during the week of the election.  The sign in front of the church said that we should vote for our souls by coming to the meetings.

We rejoice that we had some visitors from the community come and attend the revival meetings.  Caleb spent time with one of the neighboring children and we encouraged this young boy to bring his mother to the meetings.  His mother came on Thursday and Friday and heard a clear presentation of the Gospel.  Please pray that his mother and the other visitors will soon trust Christ as their Savior.

paul.jpgOn October 26 through 29, we held a week of revival meetings in Bemidji, Minnesota.  In Bemidji, A concrete statue of Paul Bunyan and Babe, the blue ox, stand on the edge of the Mississippi River as a reminder of their legend.

The meetings at the Faith Baptist Church with Pastor Derek Claypool were well attended and very encouraging.  People came out to our meetings in record attendance and responded to the invitations for local evangelism, as well as being faithful in their Christian lives.  Twelve people raised their hand in response to being more active looking for ways to evangelize their community with the good news of the gospel.  Around five people came forward in the service to make a public decision for the Lord.  Others raised their hand requesting prayer that they will learn to trust the Lord in their daily lives.  Please pray for this church in the northern part of Minnesota.
