Our first planned VacationBibleSchool this summer was canceled because of extra snow days in the Black Hills of South Dakota. So instead of a DVBS, we had a whole family evening Bible school in its place. We started on Sunday, June 7, and went through Wednesday, June 10, 2009.It was good to see friends from the past, as well as, my dad and his wife Loma. The church family attended the meetings faithfully and were a great encouragement to us and our ministry.
For the rest of the week we were able to spend it with my dad my sister Shirley and her daughters who came up from Cheyenne, Wyoming. Please pray for the church in RapidValley as they continue to reach this mission field east of Rapid City, South Dakota.
On Wednesday, May 27th, and Sunday, May 31st, I preached at the CalvaryBaptistChurch in Forest City, Iowa.Pastor Doug Farrell and I graduated the same year from FaithBaptistBibleCollege in Ankeny, Iowa.It was a privilege to fill the pulpit for Pastor Farrell on Wednesday night as he was still on vacation with his family. Then for Sunday, I was able to give the church an update on our ministry, and encourage the church with some blessings that Jesus shared with us about the future hope of the Christian.
During our stay in ForestCity, I was able to drive down to WebsterCity to get some urgent work done on our throttle for the truck. Now the truck is running much better and performing with more power on the hills.
