This week at Faith Baptist Church in Sauk Centre, Minnesota, we held our second Vacation Bible School for the summer.  The church used the Gold Rush theme from Answers in Genesis.  My four friends started each evening off with a quick introduction of the day’s theme.   Jane taught the Bible lesson to the Pre-Primary, Primary, and Junior class.  At the end of her lesson, I used an object lesson to present the gospel.   The youth group in the church presented a humorous skit each evening that brought lots of laughs and showed changed lives as the result of the gospel.

On Friday night we had 185 people for the closing program.  After giving out awards to the children, I presented the gospel by using Rawley and two of my object lessons.  During the week we saw three respond to the gospel and accept Christ as their Savior.  Please pray for those who heard the gospel but have not responded yet to the Savior.

For June 11 – 15, I spoke for Junior Camp at Camp Manitoumi in Lowpoint, Illinois.  During the trip to the camp, the center spring on the trailer on the driver’s side broke.   This problem caused the center tire to start rubbing on the front tire on the trailer.  As a result I stayed in a Recreational Repair shop over the weekend hoping to get help on Monday morning.  Praise the Lord, I was able to get the trailer fixed and back on the road in time to get to my first meeting at camp on Monday night at 6:45.  During the week we saw eight children trust in Christ as their personal Savior.

Friday, the last day of camp I got very sick with the flu.   Jane spoke for the Bible study in the morning and Pastor Dan Gonnerman preached for me for the Friday night service to close off the week.  Camp is always a very fruitful ministry with the kids away from the world, so they can focus on spiritual thinks in their lives.  We will be back at Camp Manitoumi in the end of July.

From May 27 – June 2, at Charity Baptist Church in Blountville, Tennessee, I helped with visitation with Pastor Charles Brooks to prepare for Vacation Bible School.  Then, the next week, I helped with VBS with Amazing Wonders Aviation as the theme.  I spoke with my ventriloquist partners and tied together the story and theme.  On Friday night I spoke to the adults and children for the closing program.  We are rejoicing that 40 young children trusted Christ as their Savior during the week.  Please pray for one or more families to start coming to church as a result of our ministry this week.

charity01.JPGDuring these weeks, Jane and Caleb spent time with Jane’s parents in Pierceton, Indiana.  They helped with my nephew Joshua’s graduation reception.  Jane spoke to the Ladies Bible Study.  Caleb and Jane helped with decorations for the upcoming VBS at Bethel Baptist of Pierceton.  Jane was able to see a dentist to get her teeth cleaned, 5 cavities filled, and her broken tooth capped with a new crown.  (Caleb will be spending an additional six weeks with his grandparents, uncles, aunts, and cousins.)

During this week, a malicious virus attacked and murdered our mother board, so we had to replace our computer.  Because of friends in the church,  I was able to find a new computer for a good price.  Please pray for the finances needed to cover this unexpected expense.
