Desert Hills Baptist Church

Thursday, January 31st, 2013

On January 27th, I preached at Desert Hills Baptist Church in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  Pastor Kirk and his wife Joyce have been faithful servants of the Lord in the Albuquerque area for several years.  They have started two churches one that is north of town and another in the southwest.  They have prayed for our ministry, as well as, supported us financially when they were able.  On Sunday morning they only have one service, so I did a special service for the whole family with ventriloquism and object lessons.  Then in the evening, I spoke for their adult Sunday school class and preached on Acts 16 for the evening service.

On Wednesday night, for Kids’ Club, I presented the message and object lessons on Daniel with the help of my friend Randy.  Please pray for those who raised their hand asking for prayer that they would be faithful to the Lord when it comes to their reputation.  Please pray for the other children and teens who attend, but have not trusted in Christ.

Ordway Baptist Church

On January 20, 2013, we spent the day at Ordway Baptist Church in Ordway, Colorado.  I started the day with a whole family Sunday school class with a story from Rawley and the story of Jonah.  For the morning service, I preached a message on Nicodemus and his search for the answer of a question that troubled him.  Three of the saints raised their hands asking for prayer as they look for opportunities to witness to a friend of theirs that is not saved.

On Sunday night, I preached a messaged that I titled a living portrait.  This is a message of a man that was lost in his sin but now has found new life in Jesus Christ.  Please pray for those who were there that have never trust Christ as their Savior.  The time is short and the message needs to be heard and responded to before it is too late.

On Sunday, January 13, I challenged the saints at Rustic Hills Baptist Church in Colorado Springs, Colorado with a seminar on overcoming fear when witnessing.  Then for the morning service I preached a message out of John 3.  For the evening service, I introduced Rosie to the church as she helped me to tell the story of Ruth and her willingness to be teachable.  Please pray for Pastor Stanley Lightfoot as he leads the church in some major projects on the church building as they prepare for their 50th anniversary.

During the week I was able to speak for their Senior Dinner on Tuesday and on Wednesday, I spoke to their youth group with a story from Rawley that introduced them to what Jonah learned about our God.  On Tuesday evening, we spent some time with a friend that came down from Denver to talk about our future plans.  Because of the economy and high cost of traveling we need to make some big changes in our ministry.  Pray with us as we seek God’s direction in this matter.

Rapid Valley Faith Baptist Church

This year we spent Christmas and welcomed in the New Year with my Dad and Loma in Rapid City, South Dakota.  During the four weeks we were able to stay in one place, I helped my dad with the new addition that he is putting on his house.  He still has a long ways to go, but we did get some major projects up and going.  I preached for my Dad Eight times for the morning and evening services on each of the Sunday’s while we were there.  I also spoke twice for their AWANA club before Christmas break and right after the children started back to school.

On Wednesday, January 9, 2013 I spoke at Chapel for Cornerstone Bible Institute in Hot Springs, South Dakota.  I was also asked to speak for Personal Evangelism class and for Methods of Illustrating Bible Truth for Children and Adults. We have enjoyed our stay in Rapid City and now are looking forward to a new year serving Him on the road in Missionary Evangelism.  Please pray for our schedule as we seek to fill some open dates in 2013.  If we are in your area and we could fit into your schedule, please let us know.  We would be happy to add you to our calendar.
