From April 19 through April 22, we held revival meetings at Community Regular Baptist Church in Bussey, Iowa. Pastor Brad Hansen and his wife Marie have been friends of ours for many years. We meet Pastor Brad when he was the camp maintenance worker at Clear Lake Regular Baptist Camp. The church family attended faithfully and made us feel right at home. Caleb directed the music as Jane played the piano and sang a special each evening. As Caleb directed the singing, he also used his tin whistle and his low D whistle. It is a blessing to see him being used of the Lord and to see his directing training from last summer being put to use.
On Thursday, we enjoyed driving over to Pella to enjoy the tulips that are in full bloom. Later that evening we spent some time with the Hansens enjoying their fellowship over the evening meal. Please pray for Pastor Brad and his family as they seek to reach this community for Christ. Also pray for Brad as he works at starting a construction business to meet their financial needs.

For April 13 & 14 I put a display out at the Iowa Association of Regular Baptist Churches state meeting. Pastor Timothy Capon is now their new state representative. Brother Timothy opened the conference with a message to challenge the pastors not to forget their first love from Revelation 2. Other speakers encouraged us to return to a healthy devotion to the gospel, remember the great commission, and rethink our theology of gospel outreach.
The conference was filled with a great challenge from the Word of God as well as opportunities to see friends that I went to college with and pastors that I have held meetings for in the past. It was a joy to see my college roommate Pastor Ron Hemsworth, a new appointee with Baptist Mid- Missions going to Missionary Acres in Missouri. We also had the opportunity to meet the new president of Faith Baptist Bible College, Rev. James Tillotson.

On April 11, 2015, I was invited to attend the annual Round Robin Dodgeball tournament in Floris, Iowa at Floris Baptist Church. Third through sixth graders from four nearby churches competed in the tournament. After competing, Pastor Gordon Hawkins promoted the camp in southeastern Iowa, then I shared with the kids the gospel using ventriloquism with Randy and the story of Samson. Floris Baptist provided drinks and cookies and each child brought a sack lunch. After the tournament, we played a couple games of adults versus the children.
On Sunday, April 12, 2015 we introduced our ministry of ventriloquism with a whole family Sunday school class. I preached for the morning service from John 3 and nine people indicated that they wanted to reach their friends with the gospel. We all enjoyed a lunch together in the fellowship hall. After lunch I presented our ministry from Ephesians 4 and a short power point presentation. Please pray as the church considers taking us on for support.

During the week I enjoyed Faith Pulpit Day on Monday, March 30, 2015. Then that evening the Missions Conference started at Faith Baptist Bible College. They had speakers from around the world that challenged the students with foreign and home missions. The keynote speakers were a testimony of Grace. Pastor Kalid Bitar is Lebanese and serves in Canada and the Middle East and Pastor Craig Hartman is Jewish and serves in New York City and Israel with Shalom ministries.
It was great to see my college roommate Ron Hemsworth and dorm mates John and Dave Stillwell. Ron and his wife Joy are new appointees with Baptist Mid-Missions and are seeking to serve at Missionary Acres. Both John and Dave serve alongside their wives as missionaries in Peru.

After leaving Utah on Thursday, we had a long trip to Des Moines, Iowa so we could visit one of our supporting churches. That Sunday I spoke at Norwoodville Baptist Church for the adult Sunday School class and preached the morning service. For lunch we spent the afternoon with Pastor Philip and Kayla Kramer who shared with us fish on the grill. For the evening service I used Rawley to help me tell the story of Jonah and the great fish. The front row was filled with children that enjoyed the object lessons that presented the gospel.

For March 22 – 25 we had the joy of going back to St. George, Utah for a week of meetings at Grace Baptist Church with Pastor Rick Newell. This time I preached on Sunday morning and for the rest of the week I presented my Bible study of Romans entitled “My Shepherd’s Staff, my Savior’s Tool Admonishing Faithful Followers.” Three young girls trusted Christ as their personal Savior on Thursday night. Please pray for these little ones as they grow in their newfound faith.
The Romans study covers justification, redemption, propitiation and righteousness. Romans gives us a good picture of the lost in the world as well as the hope that we have in Jesus Christ. We also covered the blessings of Biblical baptism and the Lord’s Supper as we lay our lives down as living sacrifices. Several attended all the services and received a certificate of completion for the week.
