Then we were back for our second week of camp in Lowpoint, Illinois. Over the years we have enjoyed our opportunities to share the gospel at Camp Manitoumi. This year Tom Robbins was the Camp Dean and his wife was Camp Nurse for the last half of the week. 110 campers enjoyed the Battle Zone theme. During the evening services I used ventriloquism to present Bible stories that fit their focus of the day. We rejoice in the 6 campers that trust Christ as their Savior. For the morning service I used my Seminar “What Every Camper Should Know”. The campers had lots of questions on Creation and the Deity of Christ.
Once again the campers enjoyed the zip line that is now fully operational. They have it down to a science now getting them on line and off in 8 minutes. They even gave the winning team a ride down the zip line in the dark. Each camper had a glowing wrist band so that we can see them. Please pray for these campers as they go home that they will stand up and stand fast for their faith.

July 13 – 17 we held a week of Junior Camp at Whispering Cedars Baptist Camp in Genoa, Nebraska. Phil Tilson a friend from Bible College is the camp director. This summer’s theme was a western theme and everything was decorated from the dining hall to the chapel. My messages for the week were built on an acrostic to the word Ranch to follow the theme as I shared the gospel. During the week 62 campers attended, 2 made decisions for life service, and 6 for salvation, and one for obedience.
The campers enjoyed the ventriloquism and object lessons each evening. During the morning chapel I encouraged them to remember verses on the inspiration of Scripture, the Deity of Christ and the importance of Creation found in Romans 1:20. Please pray for these campers as they head home and seek to share what they learned at camp.

Years ago, the building of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Texarkana, Arkansas was a bar filled with patrons sitting around a round bar, the sunken ceiling was lighted with strobe lights. Now the building is used to spread the gospel of our Lord and Savior and is filled with believers desiring to live for the Lord Jesus Christ. The week of June 28 through July 3rd, 2015, we held our third Vacation Bible School “Building Lives for Christ”. The church family faithfully attended receiving awards for attendance and saying all the verses in our theme.
On Wednesday Pastor David Trader and his wife Nancy left for West Virginia when they received word that his mother was not doing well. She passed away just after they arrived in West Virginia. Please pray for pastor and his family as they grieve for their loss. We were happy to be able to stay and fill the pulpit in Texarkana for Sunday, July 5, 2015 and for Wednesday night, July 8th.
On Saturday, July 4, Jane traveled down to Louisiana to pick up Caleb from Gospel Singers of America. Caleb will be with us for another four weeks before heading off to Bible College in Omaha, Nebraska.
