Cornerstone01

For the month of May, we enjoyed our COME conference which was held at First Baptist Church in Pierceton, Indiana.  As you know my wife’s family lives in the same town; so we were able to spend time with family during the week.  Each of the evangelists were able to give us their updates for the year and share with us how God has been using them in the ministry of evangelism.  This year we had Evangelist Mike Manor speak to us in the morning and evening services.  We rejoice in how God has used each one of us all across America and around the world.  Please keep praying for Come International Baptist Ministries.  During the conference we received our 25-year service pin.

On Sunday, May 22, I was able to fill the pulpit for Cornerstone Church in Argos, Indiana.  This church is looking for a pastor.  For now, they have an Interim Pastor who has taken a few weeks off for heart surgery.  Please pray for this church and their need for a pastor and for their Interim as he recovers from surgery.

Hillcrest

April 24 – 27 Hillcrest Baptist Church in Richmond, Indiana had meetings with Grady McMurtry from Creation World View.  As the adults were enjoying meetings with Dr. McMurtry defending creation through science, I was with the children preaching the gospel through ventriloquism and object lessons.  During our ministry with the children, we rejoice in the 5 who trusted Christ as their Savior.  Because we were in the area having work done on our motorhome, I also spoke at Children’s church on April 24th  and May 1.  Then Sunday night on May 1, I presented our ministry to the church using Rodney and preached from Acts 16.

Jane is now up in Pierceton, Indiana spending time with her family as I stay with the motorhome in Richmond, Indiana to oversee the work that we need finished before our summer ministry begins in June.  Next week May 15 – 18 we will be attending our annual COME conference at First Baptist Church in Pierceton, Indiana.  Please pray that our home will be repaired correctly and that our conference will be a blessing to all those who attend.  Thanks so much for your prayers and support for the Silcott Ministries.
