Calvary Baptist Church

Thursday, April 27th, 2017

This week Jane has been helping her dad, John Baughman working on the new Seminary building at Faith Baptist Bible College and I have been holding meetings in Grinnell, Iowa at Calvary Baptist Church.  I preached in all three services on Sunday presenting our ministry and encouraging the Saints with the preaching of God’s Word.  The church helped us by providing gift cards for local grocery stores for meals during the week.

On Wednesday night, the church provided hot dogs on the grill for the Awana Clubbers to start off the Awana Fun Fair.  101 children and their parents attended the outreach. Several games were set up around the church for the children to play and win candy.  The children that finished their books for this year were given their ribbons in the awards ceremony.  After they were finished, Rawley came out to help me tell the story of Jonah and his message for the city of Nineveh.  Please pray for those who heard the gospel but have not responded to the gift of Salvation.

Valley Baptist Church

Sunday, April 9, 2017, we preached and introduced our ministry to Valley Baptist Church in Winslow, Arizona.  This small mission work to the native Americans sing hymns every Sunday without a piano.  They were so happy to hear Jane play the piano for special numbers and for the congregational singing.  Jane spoke for the Ladies Martha and Mary meeting Monday night and I preached for each of the services Sunday Morning and evening.  After church Sunday night, I spoke with Rawley to their youth group.

Please pray for Valley Baptist Church as they seek to sell their three buildings, so they can purchase a building that would better meet their growing needs.  Also pray for the missionaries as they look into having the Silcott Ministries come for their summer camp in June of 2018.

Calvary Baptist Church

On April 2, 2017, we spent Sunday ministering at Calvary Baptist Church in Kingman, Arizona.  Please pray for this church in the northwest corner of Arizona as they seek God’s direction for a senior pastor.   It was our privilege to fill the pulpit for them ministering for a whole family Sunday School with a story and object lessons from Rawley.  Jane played the piano for the congregational singing and I preached from I Corinthians 15.  Sunday night was encouraging as many returned to see more ventriloquism and hear another message from God’s Word.

During our stay in Arizona we have noticed that our house batteries were not working like they should.  Even after purchasing new house batteries we still were having problems with lights not working and our security system not powering up our camera system.  We thank the Lord that a repair man in Kingman was able to diagnose the problem and repair the issue by replacing a battery cut off switch and a solenoid that operates the switch.
