Calvary Baptist Church

Saturday, July 25th, 2020

Because the week of July 19th was open, I asked the pastor at Calvary Baptist Church in Douglas, Wyoming if I could come and fill the pulpit for him on Sunday.  Pastor Matthew Roberts graciously invited me to come and preach and present our ministry in evangelism.  They have a prophet’s chamber that they allowed me to stay in as long as I needed the accommodations.   For Sunday School I presented the class with the fact that SIN is a huge mathematical disaster.  Then for Sunday Morning I preached a message on Noah using ventriloquism and object lessons.   For Sunday Night I preached a message from Isaiah 55.

After church Sunday night I went with Pastor and his daughter out to the local airport to see the comet out in our Northern sky.  Just below the Big Dipper, we could faintly see the comet with its long tail.  With pastor’s telescope we had a great view of Jupiter and the moons around the planet.  Please pray for Calvary Baptist Church as they reach Douglas with the message of the Cross and their work remodeling their basement that was damaged in a septic backup.

Flint Creek Baptist Church

For the week of July 12 – 15, 2020 I held a Vacation Bible School at Flint Creek Baptist Church in Philipsburg, Montana.  They used our theme “Racing to the Finish” and decorated the auditorium with cars, banners, and flags.  Each story was introduced through ventriloquism and the gospel was shared through object lessons with a surprise ending.  At the end of the day, I used flannelgraph material displayed on power point to tell a missionary story presenting the gospel.  We rejoice in those who responded to the gospel during the week.  Six students came back to ask questions and to hear the gospel again one on one.  Three of the children responded and trusted in Christ as their Savior

For the games during the week, they had remote controlled race cars for each student to race in the gym.  It was well organized five at a time and each winner moving up until the final race.  They had first, second, and third place for each class.  For the last day, after the meal with hot dogs and hamburgers, they all got to ride on go carts and try their skill at remote controlled speed boats in the stream behind the church.  Please pray for this growing church as they seek to reach Philipsburg for Christ.

Grace Baptist Church

On July 5 – 8, 2020, I held a whole family evangelistic meeting in Kemmerer, Wyoming.  Jane stayed in Arizona to finish her education as a CNA and start her new job in August.  I made the trip in a van that I borrowed from Jane’s new boss.  Each service was well attended by friends that we have known for years and visitors that we have met for the first time.  The gospel was preached through ventriloquism and object lessons with a surprise ending.  Although no one responded to the gospel, we know that the seed was planted in the hearts of the unsaved and the saints encouraged in their walk with the Lord.

During the week I stayed in a motel that is owned by a faithful member in the church.  The owner was born in the Fiji Islands and raised in Hawaii.  I enjoyed talking to Vj about Christ and listening to his testimony of faith in our Savior.  Please pray for the church as they seek to reach the city of Kemmerer with the gospel.  Vj would also like prayer for his children as they go to college and seek God’s will for their lives.
