Sahuaro Baptist Church

On March 12 – 15, 2017 we held meetings at Sahuaro Baptist Church in Tucson, Arizona.  This supporting church is on the east side of Tucson on Houghton road.  We started our meetings with the Teens and the Adult Sunday School class encouraging the Saints with my seminar on Creation.  Then we looked at the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ found in I Corinthians chapter 15.  Sunday night Rawley and Randy helped me tell the story on obedience.  I finished the hour with a message on the Rapture out of I Thessalonians 4.  Tuesday night we heard “On Your Marks, Get Ready, Set. . . Go” as they held their Annual “Pine Wood Derby”.  I shared the gospel with the Awana Clubbers and their parents using the story of Jonah as told by Rawley.  Then on Wednesday night, I closed the meetings with a message from John 3, Nicodemus asking Jesus about eternal life and how he could know for sure that heaven would be his eternal home.

For the rest of the week, we enjoyed fellowship with friends that we have known for years.  I also spend time at a local shooting range with Pastor Kester and my dear friend Tim Schafer.  Please pray for this growing church and those who heard the gospel but have not responded to the Savior.  Next to this paragraph is a picture of a Sahuaro cactus which is only found in the Sonoran Desert here in the state of Arizona and limited locations in northern Mexico.
