On March 23, 2013, my family and I traveled with Pastor Tom Petro and other church members from Prescott Valley to Calvary Baptist Church in Kingman, Arizona for the Arizona Association Pastor’s Conference. The theme for the conference was “The Enthusiastic Church.” Pastor Lohmeyer, the host pastor, started the day. Pastor Adam Zamora, then, challenged us with ideas for practical outreach for churches. I ended the day with a message from Acts 16 on the church’s enthusiasm in response to the Macedonian call. After some great fellowship with the Arizona pastors, we returned to Prescott Valley that evening.
In Prescott Valley, I spoke for Sunday School and presented our ministry on Sunday Night. We thank this church for the years that they have prayed for us and helped us with financial support. On Tuesday afternoon, I spoke for their Awana club. Rodney helped me tell the story of Daniel in the Lion’s Den. Daniel came walking out of the lion’s den in proof that our God is alive. We do not serve a dead God, He is alive and we can rejoice in a God that knows our needs.
